When the invitation comes, should I sign up right away?
Yes, some ages and genders fill up quickly--in fact, some fill-up immediately.. 

If I have an invitation, and I know I can not come, should I decline by email?
Yes, for two reasons. 
1. You can only have one invitation at a time. Until you decline an event or that event is closed to registration, you will not receive an invitation to another event.
2. It helps us know who is coming so we can keep genders balanced.

Can I register and pay at the door?
No. A lot of prior work goes into one of these events. There is no way to accept registrations at the door or even late registrations via PayPal.

What if I want to pay by check rather than charge card?
Most events will have a short period of time when you can mail a check. You can also use a check, rather than a charge card, with PayPal.

Can you accept charge cards by mail or by phone?
No, only by PayPal.

What if I sign up and pay, then my age group is full.
1. You will be put on a waiting list. Often people on the waiting list can attend as more of opposite gender signs up.
2. If you are on the waiting list and can not attend because a category is full, we will either refund your money or transfer you to another dinner. The choice is yours.

What if I have to cancel?
If you cancel three days before the event, your money is refunded or you can transfer to another dinner. If you cancel after that time, you can transfer to another dinner with a $5 payment. If you don't cancel and don't show, we will probably remove your profile. A no-show really messes up a matched event.

Are there different tables for different age groups?
Yes.

Are these tables in the same room?
It depends on the restaurant. Each restaurant has a different layout so we can't say one way or the other.

Are there the same number of men and women at each table?
We balance the genders by age for each group. However, we will allow an extra man or woman at a table.


Can I get a count of my age group or a count for the entire group?
No, the count changes several times a day so that is an impossible question to answer.

How do we contact a person we want to see again?
You sign on to the internet the day following the event. Check each single you want to see again, even if he/she was not at your table. If you both say "yes" to each other, you are a match. Hosts will give each of you the other's contact information.

I have personal cards with my contact information. Can I give them to people I would like to meet again?
In one word, "no." That puts you or the other single "on the spot" and brings in the rejection factor again. If you see someone you want to meet again, check "yes" by their name on the internet. If you are a match, you will both be given the other's contact information.

Can you guarantee that same gender friends can come together or sit together?
No, we can't--not even when you sign up at the same time. We will try and it might happen--but it might not, so please don't sign up expecting it.

What if I (a female) want to come with my girlfriend? 
Yes, girlfriends are support. But Dinner-Match can not guarantee that two females can come together or sit together. So be an adult here and register for yourself alone. Remember: You are making a guaranteed reservation whether your girlfriend gets in or not.

What if I have a special diet?
When we decide on a restaurant, we check to see if entrees are offered for following diets: Low-fat, low-carb, vegetarian, and vegan, If there are no entrees available for these four diets ( although vegan selections are not always numerous), we choose another restaurant. If you have dietary preferences or needs other than those four, please let us know and we will try to accommodate you.

Do I have to order a high-priced dinner?
No. That is why the matching fee is separate from the dinner. You do have to order something to eat, but it certainly does not have to be high-priced. Order a salad or an appetizer like hummus if that is what you want to eat.
